USA Today covers a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that found the "most commonly reported sexually transmitted [infections] [STIs] reached an all-time high in 2015."

In response to the findings, Jonathan Mermin, director of CDC's National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD and TB, called for bolstered STI treatment services. "We must mobilize, rebuild and expand [STI] services -- or the human and economic burden will continue to grow," he said (USA Today, 10/19).
