For CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360," CNN National Correspondent Gary Tuchman profiles the security measures in place at an abortion clinic, Cherry Hill Women's Center, in New Jersey. "You notice the elaborate security as soon as you arrive," Tuchman says, pointing out security cameras, a buzzer entry system, security guards, the thick window around the receptionist station and "a sophisticated alarm system, including panic buttons in strategic places."
According to Tuchman, officials at the New Jersey clinic are "now deciding what else might need to be done to further improve security" after the recent shooting incident at a Planned Parenthood facility in Colorado. However, Jennifer Boulanger, the clinic's communications director, discusses how abortion-rights supporters "can't hold the entire burden of protection," explaining, "I think this rhetoric that we've heard -- especially recently -- in the nation has led to increased violence," particularly the "antiabortion rhetoric from lawmakers" (Tuchman, "Anderson Cooper 360," CNN, 11/30).
